56 cities around the world hosted jam packed, inspiration filled regional Shabbatons last Shabbat. The Shabbatons, which were hosted in the Tristate, Delaware Valley, and even in France, gave teens from around the world a taste of Shabbat, unity, and of what it means to be a Jewish teen.
Carly Meisel from Newton, MA had a lot to say coming away from this year’s regional Shabbaton: “My favorite aspect of the Shabbaton was all of the different stories and lessons we had during all of our meals. From inspiring and fascinating Baal tshuva stories, to the deep, inner meaning of the Shema, to discussing gender roles and Moshiach, there was no topic off-limits and no question left unanswered!”
Leigh Bojan from Milwaukee added: “It was amazing. I think my favorite part of the weekend was meeting new people and connecting with them on a personal level so quickly.
Other regional Shabbatons in Montreal and Florida, are set to take place in the upcoming weeks.
